12-day 'arrive & drive' Rally-raid tour

This Dakar-style / Stage Rally Raid

'Arrive & Drive' Caminos del Colono 2025 Rally-Raid Tour is something special! It is a Charity Event in coordination with Rotary Club in the Amazon to raise funds for heart surgeries for infants in Peru born with heart defects.

Ride or race at your own pace up high in the Andes to low in the Amazon of central Peru.

In 1857 Austrian-German immigrants sailed across the seas, around the horn of South America, and walked over the Andes to found new settlements in a virgin part of the eastern mountain jungles of the Peruvian Amazon. This Rally-Raid of 1,200 kms attempts to follow the routes used by the colonists over 176 years ago.

You will ride over highland roads, some jungle trails, beaches and small river crossings.

The goal is to FINISH!

The event is a test of man/woman, machine,

and will.

Control timing is easy to follow and the time goals are not difficult to make. The Liaison and Special Stages ratios are about 20% - 80%.

You can ride at any pace you like. Over 50% of the other riders will be novices so don't feel bad just enjoying it as a challenging ride! Completing the 1,200 km and 14 competitive stages over the 3.5 competition days is the key!

You will not ride alone. Other English speaking riders will form your team, with the support of a Team Leader, support pickup trucks, four mechanics, and an English/Spanish translator assigned for every 3 of you!

And we can take up to (4) Non-Riders in the support 4x4 vehicles. Be right there with the riders! The same tour except not on the bikes during the race!

You will ride one of our race-prepared 250cc to 300cc adventure bikes:

VOGE 300 RALLY, Honda XR250 or XR300 Tornado, Honda XRE300 ADVENTURE.

If you have not run a navigation event like this before, ONLINE classes on Rally Navigation will be available in English for a small fee in the months before the Rally-Raid tour.

You will compete among the other 50 Peruvian AMATEUR and PROFESSIONAL riders, even some veterans of the DAKAR. You can participate at the rate you are comfortable with. Your goal will be to finish! At the very least a finishers medal waits for you if you at the end !

Imagine arriving in frontier town of Pozuzo that is showcasing their Austrian-German heritage! You will be received in the main plaza by thousands of spectators, dancing girls in traditional dress, and musical bands! Then the awards celebrations laced with traditional Austrian food and local brewed beer !

Egle Gerulaityte, Author, International Correspondant, ADV Rider and Guide, Senior Editor, Rally Racer and Moto Overlander will be covering the event AND racing together on your team! YOU may even be featured as a foreign participant! The event will be featured in many Moto Adventure magazines and forums around the world!
